Despite the lack of potentially adequate summer moisture, it’s good to see the herd enjoying some spring forage. The Pasque flowers are open and happy along Haviland Lake!
It’s really trying out there, and that last little snowfall helped a lot. Ah, I remember Pasque flowers from my days in Montana. 🙂 Beautiful! The Indian paintbrushes, vetch and globemallow are now starting to make an appearance here, along with the phlox and white daisies (?).

Pretty Chipeta and her photo bomb companion are beautiful in that late-day light!
Chipeta is another one who prefers to hide. Her band mates aren’t nearly as bothered. 🙂
Lovely Chipeta.
Indeed. 🙂
Love those pintos, and all of the outdoors and nature!
I so agree!! 🙂
